I was apart of a team who went to do an orphanage inspection today and it broke my heart. I had to walk back outside and pull it together before walking back inside.
The baby I'm holding needs a heart transplant in order to survive past two years old.
The little girl in the crib is both blind and deaf and is tied to her crib and never leaves it because she isn't receiving anything therapy or sign language so she can't communicate and is a constant state of confusion and fear. Whenever she has been released she has scratched and bitten anyone whose tried to touch her.
It was incredibly sad to leave that day. I hope that the Vietnamese government intervenes. That's the only thing keeping my heart calm.
