LOVE

A word I don't use enough. But an emotion and a feeling that I have all the time here.
I LOVE my God who brought me here. I LOVE that He is challenging me and preparing me. I fiercely LOVE my Heavenly Father.

My whole life here is working with kids and teens. As many of you know I'm leading the youth program at an International Church plant here in Ho Chi Minh City. It's pulled me out of my comfort zone in a lot of ways but at the end of the day, I can't remember the last time I felt so at home.

I have fallen in love with job. I have fallen in love with these incredible teens I get to work with on a regular basis. I'm experiencing relationships like never before. The expat community that we work with are mostly retired individuals and couples. I'm getting to know and have enjoyed bonding with people that are in there late 40s and on all the way to 60s. Americans take for granted the wisdom and knowledge that people older than us posess.

I've also enjoyed building friendships with people from all over the world. I have managed to make a friend from The Phillipines, Malaysia, Thailand, South Africa, Jamaica, England, China, Vietnam and Australia. Besides the staff I work with, there are very few Americans that I spend time with here. It's crazy right?

One of the main reasons why I came here, besides to help out in any way I could, was to help get a Life Skills program open. I've been here for just over two months and the plans are just starting to come together. I'm very excited! It's been such an answer to prayer and such an encouragement to the people that have been here trying to make it happen for over a year.

We KNOW this is the will of God. He has opened so many doors and led us to all the right people. We have a vision to get this open in the next two months which would require us to get the licensing not the certification.
